Raised in a convent and separated at an early age, sisters
Christine and Lea are reunited in the house of the tyrannical
Madame Danzard, where they work as maids. Slaving away
under the cruel eye of their mistress, they become acquainted
with each other while battling demons of abuse and neglect.
Tensions build to the breaking point when the Madame's
daughter, Isabelle, triggers Christine's jealousy and fear of
abandonment. Finally, when Madame becomes suspicious
of the true nature of the sisters' love for each other, the
stage is set for tragedy.
